About FCC Buccaneers
The FCC Buccaneers Swim Team is a member of the Rappahannock Swim League (RSL) -a recreational/competitive summer swim league located in the Fredericksburg, Virginia region. The RSL has more than 2,000 swimmers ages 5-18 competing on approximately 25 teams. These 25 teams are divided in to 6 divisions.
Team History
The Fredericksburg Country Club was first represented in the Rappahannock Swim League in 1969. We won the National Division Championship in 1994. We won the American Division Championship in 1995 and 1996. From 1997 to 2003 we competed in the Battlefield Division. We placed second in the division in 1997 and 1998. We won the Battlefield Division Championship in 2000. In 2004 we placed second in the Patriot Division.
Mission Statement
The FCC Buccaneers Swim Team is dedicated to the physical and emotional development of its swimmers. We instill in our swimmers and their parents the principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, competitiveness, community spirit, and individual and team improvement along with the relentless pursuit of fun in the sport of swimming.
