Hello swim team families,

Tomorrow is our first day of the 2022 swim season! We are all so excited! 

Practice for the 6 and unders is 5-5:45pm. 

Practice for the 10 and unders is from 5-6pm. 

Practice for the 11 and olders is from 6-7pm. 

Junior coaches - if your child (13+) is interested in signing up to be a Junior coach/volunteer, please contact our coach, Lexi Osleger, and plan on being at the pool for her meeting at 4pm tomorrow. If you've already signed up, plan on being at the 4pm meeting. 

Some apparel will be distributed tomorrow. I don't have the list of what's in the order - but please stop by the table with the big box and see if your order is in there. Another shipment will come in the next two weeks. 

I will have a sign-in roster tomorrow to confirm names and ages of swimmers. If you are not on the roster, we will get that fixed. If you have other families/friends that would like to join, it's not too late. Please encourage them to come out Wednesday for practice and visit our website. 

Reminder - training for the swim meet jobs is June 8th at FCC. We are asking that each family train in one of the below positions. Training in these positions does not mean you must volunteer for that job. It just gives us depth in our team of trained parents. There are LOTS of jobs that do not require any training that the majority of parents will be fulfilling.

(these three are all in one course) I recommend the majority of new families signs up for this session 

Stroke and Turn 

Referee
(Referee training follows the Stroke and Turn session) I recommend families with swim team experience sign up for this session 

Starter
I recommend anyone who has the ability to run the meet and works well with the Referee sign up for this one 

Tomorrow's practice will be more about meeting and greeting the coaches, team mates, and getting comfortable in the water. Please help any new swimmers reduce anxiety or stress by telling them how much fun they are going to have tomorrow. 

Finally, I will be leaving the pool tomorrow just before 6pm. I am going to my niece's preschool graduation ceremony. These are big life moments :) If you have any questions after I leave, please see Jennifer Harding (swim team VP). I will be at practice the rest of the week, so feel free to stop me at any point if you have any questions or concerns.
