Swim Meet information
We hope all of the swimmers are enjoying their first week of swim team! It's been fun seeing everyone on the pool deck again :)
Below is some general information. I tried to give some extra details for our new swim team families.
Swim Meet RSVP:
On the FCC Swimtopia webpage, you will click on Meets & Events (https://ccbuccaneers.swimtopia.com/swim_meets). Each of the six swim meets are listed with the date, address, and start time. For our new families -- the naming convention is the Away Team vs Home Team so the first meet is CC@SY. That means Country Club at Spotsy YMCA. The second meet is G@CC. That is Grafton at Country Club. For home swim meets, the swimmers will need to be at the FCC pool for warm ups starting at 5pm. For away swim meets, the swimmers will need to be at the away pool for warm ups starting at 5:30pm (except for College Heights – they have a start time of 5pm which means our warm ups would begin at 4:30pm). The home team always warms up first. All other meets start promptly at 6pm.
Please click on the green MEET RSVP button for each swim meet. Indicate whether or not your child will be present at each meet. The coaches need this information as soon as possible so they can properly add swimmers to events and relays. You can reply to ALL meets now.
Job Sign Up:
Tomorrow, 6/2, at 11am, I will open the Job Sign up for the first swim meet. Please click on the button (it will appear next to the Meet RSVP button) and sign up for the job you are able to complete. There are jobs for the first half and the second half. At this time, I plan on opening up the jobs for the next two meets (June 12th and June 15th) on Thursday, June 8th. Those two meets are both HOME meets, therefore, we will have more jobs to fill. I would like to give new families an opportunity to see the first swim meet, understand how it works, and observe the jobs before the next round of jobs open.
Next week, I'll send out information regarding the swim meet (general topics for our new families). Till then, hope the kids are loving practices :)
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
-Kim
