It's the FINAL countdown!
Good Morning Swim Families!
As we begin to wrap up our 2026 Swim Season, we have a few final things we need your help with heading into our Swim Finals on Saturday and Awards Banquet on Sunday.
1. Finals job sign ups- Thank you to all families who have already signed up for a position! Please keep in mind that Finals is broken up into three sessions, and each team is assigned volunteer positions in each of these sessions. Currently, we are still in need of 7 more volunteers to fulfill our team's responsibility. Please log into SwimTopia and sign up if you are able to assist with one of the following:
Session One (during 10 & under individual events- estimated 7:20-9:20am):
Lane Checker (one position)- this job does NOT require training. You will just be asking swimmers their names behind the starting blocks and checking them against the provided Heat Sheet to ensure swimmers are in the correct Heat and Lane.
Session Three (during 11 & up individual events- estimated 11:20am-1:20pm)
Clerk of the Course (one position)- this job DOES require RSL official training. You will be working with Clerks from each of the other teams to get swimmers grouped into heats and lanes on the bleachers, prior to them reporting to the starting blocks for their events.
Safety Marshall (one position)- this job does NOT require training. You will circulate an assigned area to ensure individuals are safe on the deck (no running, horseplay, etc) and staying out of the pool unless swimming in an event. (This job can feasibly be done with other children in tow).
Announcer (one position)- this job does NOT require training. You will call upcoming events to the Clerk of Course and make any scoring or informational announcements needed. All announcements will be provided on a script, we just need your voice and time please.
Take Down/Clean up after Meet (three positions)- this job does NOT require training. You will assist with breaking down the systems, signage and any other pool deck areas that have been moved around to facilitate our meet. Likely a quick job as long as we have all positions filled- many hands make light work.
2. Awards Banquet- on Sunday, July 26 at 1:00pm in the FCC Ballroom.
Please join us for the 2026 Swim Team Final Banquet. We will celebrate an amazing season, with an extended brunch-themed buffet. Tickets are $20 per adult and $15 per child. Each adult ticket includes a complimentary drink ticket.
Be sure to bring cash, as we will be holding our silent auction and 50/50 raffle again this year. 100% of all proceeds will benefit our Senior scholarship and hard-working Junior Coaches!
If you would like to make a direct donation to any, or all, of our wonderful Junior Coaches, you can do so through:

3. Swim Board Application for 2027- We have 7 board positions and are looking for anyone wanting to bring excitement, ideas and commitment to the 2027 swim season! If you're interested, please fill out a 2027 Swim Team Board Application by tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22nd. We will announce the 2027 board at our Awards Banquet on Sunday.
Please let us know if you need any help navigating signups or have any unanswered questions!
More information regarding official report times, warm-ups, and what to bring for Saturday's Finals will be coming later this week. Currently (but subject to change) our warm-up times are 7:30-7:40 for Session one (10 & under) and 9:50-10:00 for Sessions two and three (11 & up).
